Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones is one of my all-time favorite books.
No, I’m not being biased just because Miyazaki adapted it into that amazing film of his.
There’s a significant difference between the book and the movie, and I mean a LOT of differences. But to be honest, I can’t choose which is better. They both kidnapped my heart and blew my mind.
There’s actually a series, did you know that ?
Howl’s Moving Castle, Castle in the Air, and House of Many Ways. I own all of them and they’re all spectacular. I highly recommend them if you’re into fantasy, humor, and romance. I used my power if persuasion and got my old middle school Literature/English teacher to use Howl’s Moving Castle in her curriculum.
Accomplishment ? I think so.
